The Second Generation Audi Q3

The 2019 Audi Q3 is back and better than ever. Now in its second generation, the 2019 Q3 has become a strong competitor in the luxury-subcompact SUV market. For 2019 Audi has made several changes to the appearance, structure, and mechanisms of the Q3. Exterior trim pieces that were previously painted black are now matched to the body color of each Q3, the Q3 has been increased in size, and full-LED lights are now included as standard for every Q3. Unlike for 2018 models, front-wheel drive is not offered for 2019 Q3 models. Instead, all 2019 models come standard with Audi Quattro all-wheel drive. The 2019 Q3 is available in two trims, the Q3 Base and the Q3 S.

Appearance & Design

The design of the Audi Q3 has been refreshed for 2019. The 2019 Q3 now has a raised hood with several sharper lines around the body of the SUV. The new Q3 comes with a rear spoiler that overhangs above the glass of the rear hatch. Compared to Q3 vehicles in other markets, the Q3 models sold in the United States have been raised a fraction of an inch in both the front and the rear of the SUV. United States Q3 models also have body color-painted fender lips as opposed to the flat black fender lips of European models. There are a variety of 18-inch, 19-inch, and 20-inch wheel options offered for 2019 Q3 vehicles.

Interior Features & Technology

The interior for the 2019 Audi Q3 comes with standard leather trim. A sunroof is also included as a standard feature on 2019 models. Drivers can access the infotainment system through a touchscreen 8.8-inch display, which can be upgraded to a larger 10.1-inch screen. Both the touchscreen display and HVAC control systems have been angled toward the driver for more ease of usage. There are a plethora of safety features included on the 2019 Audi Q3. A variety of electronic-driver-assistance systems are available to customers. Automated emergency braking is included as a standard safety feature.

Performance

The 2019 Audi Q3 is powered by two different variants of a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four cylinder engine. The Q3 base engine produces 184 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque while the Q3 S engine produces 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Power is transferred from the engine to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
