Audi, We Really Avant the 450 Horsepower 2018 RS4 Estate in the U.S.

Here in America, the closest thing to an Audi wagon we have is the beloved Allroad. Considered more of a crossover-wagon due to its ride height, it’s based off the A4 Avant offered in Europe. Now, Rennsport has gotten their hands on the latter, and unveiled the 2018 RS4 Avant. It’s got 450 horsepower, oodles of cargo room, and isn’t coming to America.

Believe us, we’re ready to turn into pillars of salt, too—especially after getting our hopes up after learning the RS3 was America-bound. In the meantime, we can dream of what it’d be like to drive a wagon with 450 horsepower, 443 lb-ft of torque, and a 4.1-second sprint to sixty. Its quattro system is RWD-biased, and peak torque kicks in at 1,900 rpm up to 5,000 for plenty of readily-available juice. On the options sheet, the RS4 Avant can be had with Drive Select adjustable suspension, dynamic steering, and ceramic brakes.

We hope our prayers are answered, and that Rennsport has a change of heart. They did with the RS3, after all! To drive the closest thing to the RS4 Avant, contact our Audi dealership in Brentwood, TN and ask about the S5 Sportback, SQ5, or the RS7.
