In news that probably surprises no one, Audi of America recently announced that five of its vehicles were awarded 2017 Top Safety Pick awards from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). In addition to earning the highest rating of "good" for all five crashworthiness assessments, each Audi model offers an advanced forward crash prevention system that earned a "superior" rating.

The following models earned Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ Designations for 2017...

Earlier today, Audi issued a press release announcing that the 2017 A4 recently earned a Top Safety Pick+ designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

Audi's innovation has always placed it one step ahead of the competition, and recently, ahead of the IIHS. Earlier this year, the American Automobile Association highlighted the safety hazards of some headlights, encouraging the IIHS to now evaluate headlamps before awarding vehicles with the prestigious IIHS Top Safety Pick+ recognition. While this may pose an issue for some automakers, it's not for Audi. After all, Audi has been integrating advanced LED technology into its models since 2008.
