Throughout Nashville, luxury car drivers have been selecting the Audi A3 as their preferred subcompact executive car. Today’s A3 is in its third generation, and this generation was introduced in 2012. Since that time, the Audi A3 has benefited from a significant facelift and a series of minor updates and improvements. If you are like many of our other customers at Audi Nashville, you want to know how the 2019 and 2020 model years differ. We are pleased to be your trusted source for more information about the Audi A3.
Performance
Most aspects of the A3 performance capabilities are comparable between the 2019 and 2020 model years, but the latest version now comes with drive mode select. For both model years, your A3 will be powered by a TFSI 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine that gives you an exciting boost with 184 horsepower. The S-Line version of this powertrain delivers 228 horsepower. Many other mechanical features are found in both model years, and these include a 4-link rear suspension paired with MacPherson front struts, Quattro all-wheel drive, power steering, anti-locking brakes, and a few other items.
Appearance
Many aspects of the 2019 A3 exterior have been updated in the latest model year available. If you prefer to take home, the 2020 A3 Premium or Premium Plus trim, puddle lamps featuring the brand’s logo are available as options. The wheels grow from 17 inches in the 2019 model year to 18 inches in the 2020 A3. For 2020, the cabriolet body style and the Prestige trim are not offered. Quantum Gray joins the lengthy list of exterior color choices available for the 2020 model year. All other aspects of the A3 are unchanged between the 2019 and 2020 versions.
Features
The improvements to the Audi A3 continue inside the cabin. In the 2020 A3, you can benefit from all functions in the Black Optic package as standard features. This package was only available as an option in the 2019 Audi A3. Its features include push-button ignition, a security system, and keyless entry. If you select the 2020 A3 Premium Plus trim, your car will now have a Bang & Olufsen audio system, USB charging ports in the rear, and high beam assistance. The 2020 model’s Premium Plus and Premium trims are available with the optional Final Edition package. This package provides you with sports seats, black or red leather trim, contrast stitching throughout the cabin, and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
