In a press release issued earlier today, Audi of America reported its best November sales number on record. Sales for the month reached 17,118 vehicles, representing a 2.5 percent increase over last November, which was itself a record. Audi has now totaled 71 months in a row of record monthly sales, and there doesn't appear to be an end in sight. Year-to-date sales for the brand have risen 2.9 percent through 11 months despite a tightening premium market.
November sales were helped along thanks to higher demand in the SUV segment. Audi's SUV sales in November were up more than 20 percent compared to the same period last year. The Audi Q5 was the volume leader with 4,187 vehicles sold, while the Q7 more than doubled its sales result for November, selling 2,605 units.
“On the heels of a successful November, we are on pace to achieve our seventh consecutive record sales year,” said Mark Del Rosso, chief operating officer, Audi of America. “We are confident that our momentum will continue in 2017, which promises to be one of the biggest launch years in Audi of America history.”
