Among the 2017 model's many improvements, its retuned 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder ranks near the top. It's more powerful than ever before, now rated at a robust 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. A seven-speed automated manual transmission sorts the shifts, though a six-speed manual is offered as an option.
We also very much appreciate its fuel economy. When had in standard, front-drive form, for example, the A4 should return an impressive 28 mpg combined (25 city/33 highway).
