In news that probably surprises no one, Audi of America recently announced that five of its vehicles were awarded 2017 Top Safety Pick awards from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). In addition to earning the highest rating of "good" for all five crashworthiness assessments, each Audi model offers an advanced forward crash prevention system that earned a "superior" rating.
The following models earned Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ Designations for 2017.
- Audi A4: Top Safety Pick+ when equipped with front crash prevention and optional adaptive headlights
- Audi Q5: Top Safety Pick+ when equipped with front crash prevention and optional adaptive headlights
- Audi A3: Top Safety Pick with available driver assistance package
- Audi Q7: Top Safety Pick with available driver assistance package
- Audi A6: Top Safety Pick with available driver assistance package
